Just last night, BoardGameGeek.com held their 10th Annual Golden Geek Awards for 2015, with many popular Asmodee games taking home the gold. As one of the most important sources of board gaming culture, news, and discussion, these awards are a great honor to receive, and among the most respected worldwide. BoardGameGeek has been a staple in the cardboard community since 2000, and Asmodee is honored to have so many games recognized by their panel of judges. 7 Wonders Duel
New from Repos, 7 Wonders: Duel is the dedicated two-player iteration of the classic 7 Wonders empire-building game, which took Golden Geek Awards for Best Family Game and Best Card Game in 2011. 7 Wonders: Duel bested its predecessor by taking home no less than four awards and nominations! The game claimed Golden Geek Awards in Two-Player Game of the Year and Card Game of the Year, while grabbing Runner-Up spots for both Game of the Year and Strategy Game of the Year.
A fantastic hit from the team at Libellud, Mysterium puts players in the role of either psychic detective or helpful ghost, sifting through a slew of visions to divine the answer to a decades-old crime. One of the game's key features are its beautiful and haunting vision cards, which BGG recognized,awarding Mysterium the Golden Geek
for Artwork & Presentation. The game also received Runner-Up accolades for Family Game and Party Game.
A truly innovative approach to gaming, this roleplaying adventure game from Space Cowboys takes its players on a trip through the past to defeat threats to the time stream and save the future. Wonderfully unique and endlessly engaging, T.I.M.E. Stories missed out on the gold this year, but secured three Runner-Up spots for Artwork & Presentation, Innovative, and Thematic Game.
Previously highlighted on our website, the Splendor app is a great way to take your games of Splendor on the road. Able to support multiple players and modes of play, this digital product quickly became immensely popular among board game enthusiasts. It didn’t escape the attention of BGG either, receiving a Golden Geek for Best Board Game App of 2015.
